We will be launching the next major phase of fav.or.it at Future of Web Apps this year. We have got a stand at the show and we wanted to come up with a theme that matched (if slightly loosely) with what we are launching. I won’t give away too much today on the launch except that it revolves around ‘channel building’. So I put on my marketing head for all of 5 seconds and decided that buying the biggest bit of Lego and get people onto the stand to help us build it would be a good idea.
Lego Death Star
So what is cooler than Lego? Lego AND Star Wars. I remembered reading a GIZMODO post about a massive Lego Death Star, found that it is not available in the UK but after a very small amount of digging found that Amazon UK sold it via one of their partners. So two days ago I ordered it, and below are the pictures of the unboxing.
Build It
We will be taking it along to FOWA and everyone can come along to the stand and help us build it. It is made up of over 3500+ pieces and the manual is like the haynes manual for the space shuttle, so this thing is going to take some time.
