Wow! What a response, I have been really blown away with the supportive comments that have been left on blogs and sent to my via twitter. What has surprised me the most is how receptive people have been in what we are trying to achieve in engaging a new audience.

Attention

I thought I would quickly mention something that had not been covered so far. We have all this fantastic ‘attention data’ and we have a whole raft of ways we plan to use it in the future, but one simple thing we already do is use it to re-order the categories on the front page, so if you have used the site for at least 10 minutes you will notice that you get a little icon at the top – and the categories will have changed. If you click that icon you will get a pie chart like I have shown here, this is my personal attention data for the site, what I read the most.

Over the coming months you will find that this data will be used more and more to help you find the content in the quickest an most effective ways!
