Today we launched the new version of fav.or.it and we are really excited about the feedback we have already had. Since our launch we have been amazingly busy listening to all the beta users and making changes. The core problem was that we had built this amazing technology for filtering the blogosphere but had not done a great job of making it accessible.
The new interface is much simpler and brings all the different features together in a much more logical way.
Meme Tracker
As part of the interface change we have totally rebuilt the homepage. It now includes a meme-tracker that uses our attention data to rank the most popular posts and then we look for discussions between blogs. And then on top of that using our engine we work out related posts (+ discussions). The end result is a great starting page for finding new content.
One import thing about our meme-tracker compared to others is that because all our content is categorized – you can filter down to a category to see just the most popular content but in a subject that you are interested in.
Below is a video explaining the changes.
Summary of changes
- New Subscription Interface
- Conversation Tracker
- Meme Tracker
- Revamped import process
- New ‘add’ feed system
